LA COLUMNA DE FUEGO
is a brand-new Latin-Funk band, born in March 2025, out of Colombian pianist Hamlet Fiorilli's vision. As the son of Roberto Fiorilli, co-founder of the original "Columna De Fuego", Hamlet has always been driven to revive the music that has been a part of his life since childhood.
The original band, formed by Roberto Fiorilli and Jaime Rodriguez, released only one album in 1974, "Desde España … La Columna De Fuego", which was recorded in Spain and released exclusively in Colombia. This album marked a pivotal moment in Colombian rock history. Following a European and Russian tour, the band disbanded upon their return to Colombia.
Hamlet's dream of reimagining this music has finally come to fruition. After 50 years, he is bringing this vibrant and energetic music back to life, like uncovering a forgotten treasure. Now based in Graz, Austria, Hamlet has assembled a talented group of musicians to join him on this project.
With Columna The Fuego, Hamlet aims not only to pay tribute to his father but also to share this unique genre with a new audience. An explosive mix of Colombian rhythms from the hinterland and coast with funk, the perfect formula to get crowds moving and grooving!

We wanted to thank the warm crowd that filled the Mariahilferplatz in Graz for the MursZene Festival this July 25, 2025. Square packed with people who welcomed us with great enthusiasm. We will post videos of the event very soon.
All this means a lot to us, it was our debut, our first public appearance, and it went really well, what an explosive start!
